I was raised in the deep South where the beauty of creation was celebrated. I cherish the sense of thankfulness and giving that gave me, and I share it through my art in expressions I fill with light and joy. The vivid colors and sense of deep space in these mixed media paintings lead people to see all sorts of wonders among the visual intricacies.
These images begin as alcohol ink paintings. Other mediums, such as encaustic wax, are often added to the built up layers of color. I scan the painting and digitally manipulate the image to further develop the colors and mood I want to relay.
