ABOUT SUZ!
SUZ MOLE ~ Pawleys Island, SC
I am a native of the rolling green hills of Shelby, North Carolina, where my Dad was the county surgeon. After graduating from Wake Forest University, I spent several decades out west, had the opportunity to travel extensively in many countries, and even lived in Tokyo for five years!
During this period I became increasingly engaged by the arts of each culture I visited, and I explored working with numerous art mediums. Over time my love of the arts turned into a career in the arts.
INSPIRATION
Mother Earth is my source of inspiration. Living near the ocean has motivated me to create flowing, energy inspired imagery. I love to listen for the songs of the birds, watch for the signs of changing seasons, and the ways weather alters the colors of the land and sky. In both my glass and mixed media pieces, I am creating images by building layers of color - the same way Mother Nature does!

GLASS & MIXED MEDIA ARTIST
For the last several decades I have made functional and sculptural one-of-a-kind glass art that has been exhibited and sold in art galleries and contemporary craft stores across the United States. These joy filled pieces offer unique, whimsical imagery that emphasize love, laughter and color.
My handcrafted glass ORNAMENTS are my signature glass art pieces. Dinnerware, Table Sculptures, and my smile inducing Yard Art, can be found in homes around the world and are often created as SPECIAL ORDERS. I also make MEMORIAL GLASS - heirloom pieces that celebrate life and love.
About seven years ago I started exploring mixed media image making. I use alcohol inks, encaustic wax and other assorted mediums to create COLORSCAPES - ethereal mood filled landscapes!
